St Anthony Wreck via Ulua Beach

Today I decided to test the limits of my new Scubajet underwater scooter by trying to get to and find the St. Anthony Wreck from Ulua Beach. I used to do this dive all the time from the neighboring Mokapu beach, but couldn’t remember the exact heading, which would need to be adjusted anyway for the new starting point.

But it worked. It took me a bit to find the wreck and I actually went past it by the time I found the field of discarded, cemented tires (artificial reef) that the St Anthony sits in the midst of, but once I found the tires, I knew where to go.

The scooter did great. Good speed and enough battery life.

I only took three pictures, none very good, but one was of a starfish that I had never seen before. I spotted it in the eel grass on the way out to the wreck.

For the record, these pictures/videos were taken with the SeaLife Micro 3.0 camera with the SeaDragon 2500F light. On this dive I used the Wide Angle Dome lens and the Super Macro lens.
